FAST Logistics Group has launched cargo drop-off kiosks or Cargo DOK, a service which allows customers to send packages to major cities in the Philippines through less-than-container load (LCL) shipping.
According to a blog on August 29, the new service allows customers to conveniently drop off their LCL shipments at designated kiosks for delivery to or from Cebu within a few days.
FAST chief executive officer Manny L. Onrejas, Jr. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Cargo DOK at the FAST Logistics Hub on R. Palma St. corner Barangay San Roque in Cebu City, near Barangay Hall Tinago and Pier Dos.
Cebu was chosen strategically as it serves as an important trade gateway for the Visayas and Mindanao regions, FAST said.
By way of these cargo drop-off kiosks, customers can have their LCL shipments sent from Cebu to Manila via Ormoc, Tacloban, Bacolod, Iloilo, Caticlan, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao, the company added.
“At FAST, our extensive network allows us to efficiently deliver cargo to key cities, whether you’re sending shipments to and from Cebu or any of our designated routes,” FAST assistant vice president for Visayas and Mindanao operations Francis Pana said.
The Cargo DOK kiosk facilities are also aimed at eliminating long queues and waiting times at traditional shipping centers, for the benefit of their small and medium enterprise (SME) clients.
“Customers no longer need to book appointments or adhere to specific schedules for sending their packages,” the company said.
Clients can pay only for the space they need and can co-load their LCL shipments with regular routes across the country.
FAST provides cargo delivery along the following routes:
Route 1: Cebu – Ormoc – Tacloban – Manila and vice versa
Route 2: Cebu – Bacolod – Iloilo – Caticlan – Manila and vice versa
Route 3: Cebu – Cagayan de Oro – Davao and vice versa
Moreover, Cargo DOK kiosks accommodate LCL packages of any size, including large and uniquely shaped items such as bicycles, refrigerators, furniture, suitcases, containers, and tires.
