Four live zebras were recently transported to Clark Freeport Zone from Singapore.
The delicate cargo, with a gross weight of 2,800 kilos, was transported via a China Airlines flight and customs-cleared by MoveIt Multimodal Transport and Logistics.
The animals originated from the Singapore zoo and was headed for another zoo and theme park in Clark.
They needed to be fed and hydrated while waiting to be cleared.
The truck that would transport them to Clark was on stand by the whole time.
Since the Philippine consignee is in a freeport zone, no taxes were paid for the shipment.
