The G6 Alliance and Maersk Line announced the suspension of sailings on a number of Asia-Europe services during the National Day Holidays in China, observed in October.

Suspended are the following G6 services: EUM from Busan on October 3, Loop 7 from Qingdao on October 4, Loop 3 from Shanghai on October 13, and ABX from Ningbo on October 13, OOCL said on August 29 in an official statement on behalf of the G6 Alliance.

The alliance consists of Hapag-Lloyd, NYK, OOCL, APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine, and MOL.

Maersk Line is also suspending its Asia-Europe sailings from October 1 to October 14. Affected are the AE5, AE6, AE7, and AE9 slings.

“We will be scaling back our network to manage decreased demand caused by low production output during National Day Golden Week in People’s Republic of China,” the Danish shipping line said.
