Global Aerospace Technology Philippines Inc. has officially registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as an export enterprise at the Cavite Technopark-Special Economic Zone in Naic, Cavite.

Global Aerospace and PEZA signed the registration agreement on February 9, marking a step in advancing the investment promotion agency’s push for new frontiers in ecozone development, particularly in the aerospace sector.

The company will manufacture, fabricate, machine, and assemble unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned aircraft systems, special-purpose machinery, and aerospace components, further reinforcing the country’s position in high-value, technology-driven manufacturing within the global aerospace ecosystem, PEZA said in a statement.

“I formally welcome Global Aerospace as part of the official family of investment partners, as this investment enhances the country’s aerospace capabilities and deepens its participation in the global value chain,” PEZA director general Tereso Panga said.

“The project forms part of the broader aerospace ecosystem, positioning the Philippines to integrate with Japan—one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturing nations—as it progresses toward high-value systems engineering, defense platforms, next-generation aircraft technologies, and sustainable aviation solutions,” Panga added.

As more aircraft-related manufacturing entities enter the Philippines, PEZA said it has envisioned the creation of several aerotropolis ecozones in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

This strategic direction aims to cluster aviation and aerospace enterprises near key airport hubs, strengthening infrastructure integration, supply chain efficiency, and global connectivity.

PEZA and CAAP in 2022 signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of aerotropolis ecozones and/or aerotropolis-linked ecozones in the country.

To advance this vision, PEZA said it is working with CAAP and other relevant authorities to develop the guidelines and see aerotropolis ecozones become a reality and operational in the near future.

Beyond strengthening the country’s aerospace capabilities, PEZA said the project is expected to create supply chain opportunities for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within and outside PEZA ecozones. Through supplier linkages, subcontracting, precision parts manufacturing, logistics support, and technical services, MSMEs can integrate into the aerospace value chain, fostering inclusive industrial growth and domestic capability building.
