This brings the company’s growing nationwide network to 11 branches
Gothong Southern opened a branch in Tagbilaran City on May 24 in response to Bohol’s growing role as a trade hub.
The Tagbilaran branch was launched to provide local businesses in Bohol with more efficient, dependable, and accessible logistics solutions—enabling trade, movement, and supply chain resilience in one of the region’s most dynamic and fast-growing provinces, the end-to-end solutions service provider said in a statement.
Gothong Southern said the decision to open a branch in Tagbilaran stems from its strategic focus on being present where growth is happening.
“We are opening our doors in Tagbilaran and establishing a new route because we see Bohol’s growing role as a trade and logistics hub,” Gothong Southern chief operating officer George A. Godinez said in a statement.
“Our goal is to empower local businesses by providing access to dependable transportation and supply chain services tailored to their needs,” Godinez added.
With Bohol emerging as a vital hub for tourism, trade, and manufacturing, the company said it saw the opportunity to contribute by offering its full range of service products, integrated transport, end-to-end supply chain, and value-added business solutions tailored to the needs of the local market.
From full container load, roll-on/roll-off cargo shipments, less-than-container load services, inland transport, warehousing, and door-to-door deliveries, to real-time booking and tracking via the company’s gEasy digital platform, Gothong Southern said its Tagbilaran office is equipped to serve a wide range of industries including retail, automotive, beverages, construction, and manufacturing.
Gothong Southern’s Tagbilaran branch adds to the company’s growing nationwide network, now totaling 11 branches. Along with the recent opening of its Iligan branch, the company said it continues to invest in underserved and high-potential areas across the country. More branch launches are planned within the year to support businesses that rely on reliable and integrated freight solutions.
With the Tagbilaran branch now operational, Gothong Southern said it reaffirms its mission to deliver logistics that are simple, seamless, reliable, and fast—while positioning itself not just as a service provider, but as a long-term integrated logistics partner for growth of Bohol and the entire Visayas region.
The launch on May 24 was attended by key government and port officials including Globalport Bohol Terminal Inc. general manager Kenneth Soldevilla, Philippine Ports Authority Port Services Division Manager Julius Jumangit, and Barangay Captain June Ramon F. Duroy of Poblacion 2, as well as industry stakeholders and logistics clients such as Alturas Group of Companies, Tanduay Distillery Inc., Autohub Group, and Polylite Industrial Corp.
On May 25, Gothong also opened a branch in Iligan City.
