Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) operation in Croatia, has taken delivery of two new hybrid rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes.
The new RTGs arrived shortly after the terminal received two new super post-Panamax quay cranes as part of a broader infrastructure upgrade, ICTSI said in a statement.

ICTSI noted that the hybrid RTGs enhance yard operations while supporting AGCT’s sustainability objectives through reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.
The equipment acquisition also underscores AGCT’s investment in capacity expansion and service reliability to meet growing demand and reinforces the port of Rijeka’s role as a strategic gateway in the region.
ICTSI earlier said the total investment in quay cranes, RTG units, and additional terminal equipment amounts to EUR35 million, reinforcing AGCT’s commitment as concessionaire to expand capacity and strengthen Rijeka and the Adriatic transport corridor as a key gateway to Central and Southeast Europe.
In March 2011, ICTSI forged a 30-year strategic partnership with Luka Rijeka D.D. for the operation, management, and development of AGCT at the Port of Rijeka, Croatia’s main seaport.
