Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) opened its newly-established Manila office to manage operations across several major ports, including Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Subic, and Palawan.

In a statement on August 5, ISS said the new Manila office launch “mark(s) a significant expansion of its service capability in the dynamic Asia-Pacific region.”

Providing comprehensive port agency and maritime services, ISS said it is positioned to address growing needs in the government services sector, including investment in new equipment tailored for foreign military vessels.

“This commitment supports the rising number of naval visits and operational requirements within the region,” ISS said.

Focusing on the offshore and bulk sectors, ISS offers a range of services from port agency and marine logistics to survey and inspection provisions. Headed by general manager Jonathan Guanzon, the ISS Manila office is initially staffed with five professionals, supported by its network of local partner agents.

Located in United Nations Avenue in Ermita, the presence of ISS is expected to contribute to the growth of the maritime industry in the Philippines. Some of their services include offshore wind projects, cable laying, oil and gas developments, and extensive reclamation undertakings.
