International airfreight forwarders flew 3% more air cargo in the first semester of 2025 to 151.757 million kg

International airfreight forwarders flew 3% more air cargo in the first semester of 2025. Nippon Express Philippines Corp. maintained its top spot in the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) list.
From January to June 2025, international airfreight forwarders handled 151.757 million kilograms (kg) from the 147.388 million kg reported in the same period last year, according to the latest data from CAB.
The increase was achieved even when only 94.01% of international airfreight forwarders submitted reports for the first half of 2025 as opposed to the 97.21% complete submission in the same period last year.

Of the total, consolidations accounted for 42.7% or 64.794 million kg, 1.6% up from 63.746 million kg last year.
Breakbulking, which represented 39.8% of the total, likewise grew 0.6% to 60.389 million kg from 60.012 million kg.
Direct shipments had the highest improvement of 12.5% to 26.574 million kg from 23.63 million kg.
Nippon Express Philippines continued to lead CAB’s top 30 list, processing 23.393 million kg or a share of 15.42% in the first semester.
Federal Express Pacific also kept its spot at second place with 13.042 million kg or an 8.59% share.
Improving two ranks from its spot in the first half of 2024, Kintetsu World Express (Phils.), Inc. was third with 8.569 million kg or a 5.65% share.
Also up by two ranks each to fourth, fifth, and sixth were DSV Air & Sea, Inc. (7.190 million kg or 4.74%), Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc. (7.142 million kg or 4.71%), and Kuehne + Nagel Inc. (5.378 million kg or 3.54%).
Both Schenker Philippines, Inc. and U-Freight Phils., Inc., on the other hand, dropped four places to seventh and eighth, respectively.
Schenker Philippines had a share of 3.3% or 5.01 million kg while U-Freight handled 3.03% or 4.591 million kg.
UPS Delbros Transport, Inc. climbed two ranks to ninth with 4.388 million kg or 2.89%, followed by DHL Express (Phils.) Corp., which slipped one rank to 10th with 4.281 million kg or 2.82%.
The 11th to 20th places belonged to Expeditors Philippines, Inc.(3.939 million kg); DHL Global Forwarding (Phils.), Inc. (3.787 million kg); 247 Cargo Services Inc. (3.575 million kg); UPS SCS (Philippines), Inc. (3.541 million kg); CEVA Logistics Phils., Inc. (2.875 million kg); Kornet Express, Inc. (2.401million kg); Trans-Global Consolidators Inc. (2.255 million kg); Dimerco Express Phils, Inc. (1.901 million kg); NNR Global Logistics (Phils) Inc. (1.87 million kg); and AAI Worldwide Logistics Inc. (1.838 million kg).
Completing the list from 21st to 30th were Polaris Express Logistics Corp. (1.835 million kg); Best Solution Total Logistics OPC (1.834 million kg); Sincerity International Cargo Services Corp. (1.653 million kg); Maersk Logistics and Services Philippines, Inc. (1.399 million kg); AGX Express Philippines, Inc. (1.389 million kg); Morrison Express Philippines Inc.(1.260 million kg); World Alliance Freight, Inc. (1.13 million kg); Banyan Logistics Inc. (1.003 million kg); ATR International Freight Inc.
