International airfreight forwarders in the Philippines handled 0.06% less air cargo in the first nine months of the year as direct shipments and consolidations slightly declined, according to data from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
From January to September 2025, forwarders airlifted 233.659 million kg, slightly down from the 233.807 million kg recorded in the same period last year.
CAB noted though that only 92% of international airfreight forwarders had complete submission of reports for the period in review, while 93.53% had complete submission of reports in the same period last year.
Consolidations accounted for 42.97% or 100.41 million kg of the total. It was, however, 0.14% lower than the 100.553 million kg reported in the first nine months of last year. Direct shipments likewise dropped 1.9% to 40.700 million kg from 41.449 million kg.
Breakbulking, which shared 39.6% to the total, meanwhile, grew 0.8% to 92.549 million kg from 91.806 million kg.

Maintaining its top spot in CAB’s list of top 30 international airfreight forwarders for the period was Nippon Express Philippines Corp., which handled 36.441 million kg or a share of 15.6%.
Also remaining in second place was Federal Express Pacific with 20.002 million kg or a share of 8.56% to the total.
Kintetsu World Express (Phils.), Inc. gained one spot to third with 12.967 million kg or a 5.55% share, followed by DSV Air & Sea, Inc., which jumped three ranks to fourth with 11.850 million kg or 5.07% share.
Climbing one rank to fifth was Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc., which handled 10.030 million kg or a share of 4.29%, followed by Schenker Philippines, Inc., which dropped three places to sixth with 8.127 million kg or a 3.48% share.
Up one place to seventh was Kuehne + Nagel Inc. with 7.906 million kg or a 3.38% share, while UPS Delbros Transport, Inc. jumped four ranks to eighth with 6.748 million kg or a share of 2.89%.
Staying in ninth place was DHL Express (Phils.) Corp. handling 6.624 million kg or a share of 2.84%, followed by U-Freight Phils., Inc., which fell five ranks to 10th with 6.383 million kg or a 2.73% share.
The top 11 to 20th were DHL Global Forwarding (Phils.), Inc. (6.339 million kg); Expeditors Philippines, Inc. (5.989 million kg); 247 Cargo Services Inc. (5.328 million kg); UPS SCS (Philippines), Inc. (5.204 million kg); CEVA Logistics Phils., Inc. (4.341 million kg); Trans-Global Consolidators Inc. (4.035 million kg); Kornet Express, Inc. (3.549 million kg); Maersk Logistics and Services Philippines, Inc. (3.118 million kg); Dimerco Express Phils, Inc. (2.900 million kg); and AAI Worldwide Logistics Inc. (2.730 million kg).
Completing the top 30 list were Sincerity International Cargo Services Corp. (2.499 million kg); Polaris Express Logistics Corp. (2.457 million kg); Best Solution Total Logistics OPC (2.413 million kg); NNR Global Logistics (Phils) Inc. (2.392 million kg); Morrison Express Philippines Inc. (2.273 million kg); AGX Express Philippines, Inc. (2.015 million kg); World Alliance Freight, Inc. (1.847 million kg); Banyan Logistics Inc. (1.508 million kg); ATR International Freight Inc. (1.508 million kg); and Airspeed International Corp. (1.33 million kg).
