Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) officially opened its new commissary in Danao City, Cebu on January 8, 2026, the fast food giant’s 12th and biggest nationwide.
“This commissary underscores our confidence in Cebu, its people, its capability, and its strategic role in our long-term growth,” said Joseph Tanbuntiong, Jollibee Group CEO and global head.
“From here, we will serve distribution centers supporting Jollibee Group stores across six provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao, and even in parts of Luzon,” he added.
The facility is equipped with automation systems for a more efficient and reliable supply chain for the Jollibee Group’s different brands.
“This site has been specifically designed from the ground up to cater to multiple brands within the Jollibee Group. It caters to at least, at this day, six different brands of Jollibee: Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Chowking, Greenwich, Burger King, and another one coming down the pipeline,” said Richard Perez, the commissary’s site head.
Trade and Industry Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque in a statement said: “This commissary is a massive win for Danao and the entire province of Cebu… Every new commissary Jollibee opens represents more jobs, more security, and more growth for our local industries.”
She added: “As we open more commissaries, we are also encouraging more investments in our country while strengthening our supply chain as well. And this is what the President (Ferdinand Marcos, Jr) really wants.”
JFC’s global portfolio includes 19 brands with more 10,000 stores and cafés across 33 countries.
Its other food manufacturing hubs are located in Laguna, Bulacan, Bacolod, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Muntinlupa, and Pasig.

Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro, who was among the local and national government officials present during the opening ceremony, said Danao City’s business-readiness and leadership played a key role in attracting the investment.
“The decision to locate this facility in Danao City is no coincidence. Danao is not only thriving — it is more than ready… ready to lead, ready to grow, and ready to become one of Cebu’s next investment hubs,” Baricuatro said.
The facility currently employs 451 workers, most of whom are Danao City residents.
City officials said the investment aligns with the local administration’s priorities that focus on livelihood generation, employment, and overall economic growth.
