AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) has completed land development for the initial phase of Laguindingan Technopark, its first industrial park in Mindanao.

Located in Barangays Moog and Tubajon in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, Laguindingan Technopark forms part of Ayala Land, Inc.’s larger development project, Habini Bay. ALLHC, a subsidiary of Ayala Land, oversees the venture.

Covering a total of 105 hectares, Laguindingan Technopark is designed to accommodate light and medium, non-polluting industries. Phase 1, covering 62 hectares, is fully developed, including the access and road network.

The technopark was launched in 2019 and is envisioned to be a logistics hub in Northern Mindanao.

Robert Lao, president and CEO of ALLHC, said the Technopark’s “strategic positioning and all-encompassing growth” stands as an ideal destination for enterprises in Northern Mindanao.

“The doors of Laguindingan Technopark are wide open for companies that are seeking a well-placed operational base. We invite them to establish their footprints and flourish within the estate’s dynamic environment and strategically advantageous location,” he said.

ALLHC said Laguindingan Technopark offers a host of advantages to businesses, with support from the Board of Investments (BOI) and the local government. Competitive manpower and utilities costs in the region, along with proximity to Cagayan de Oro City where regional offices are situated, enhance its appeal for business.

The Technopark is also adjacent to Laguindingan Airport, which recently received approval for the expansion of its passenger terminal building from the Department of Transportation. Additionally, it is approximately 36 kilometers from the Cagayan de Oro Port via the Butuan-Cagayan-Iligan Road.

The Technopark features high-standard infrastructure and a 24/7 safe and secured community. It holds the status of being a BOI-registered Domestic Industrial Zone, offering attractive incentives and streamlined operations for potential investors.

Laguindingan Technopark’s establishment aligns with the Mindanao region’s growing potential to become a major hub for the export of agricultural and trade products, providing promising prospects for businesses, said ALLHC.

In 2022, Northern Mindanao’s economy surged, growing by 7.2%, driven by its top industries: wholesale and retail trade, agriculture, forestry, fishing, and manufacturing.

In addition to Laguindingan Technopark, ALLHC expanded its portfolio by introducing a 270-hectare Pampanga Technopark in Mabalacat in June. In April, it launched Batangas Technopark, slated to become an industrial hub.

ALLHC mainly deals with holding companies, leasing, land development, and electricity supply. Its subsidiaries include Laguna Technopark, Unity Realty Development, Orion Land, Tutuban Properties, LCI Commercial Ventures, and FLT Prime Insurance.
