The new officers and trustees, most of whom were re-elected, will take their oath on April 2
Atty. Norberto Castillo has been elected as the new president of the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (PCCBI) for the term 2025-2027.
Castillo was elected on March 20 by fellow members of PCCBI’s Board of Trustees (BOT), who also won during the chamber’s national election on March 14.
Castillo, who is currently the vice president for professional development, will be replacing Dr. Anthony Cristobal, who has served since 2023.
Also elected as the new term’s officers were the following:
- Atty. Julius Basas, executive vice president
- Jill Tolentino, vice president for internal affairs
- Wilfredo Caingcoy, vice president for professional development
- Adones Carmona, vice president for international affairs
- Reffy Gorre, vice president for government affairs
- Jovet King Dimaculangan, secretary
- Maria Theresa Santos, treasurer
- Joeven Gilbuena, auditor
- Dexter Pedreza, PRO
Trustees include Atty. Ferdinand Nague, Atty. Alex Calderon, Dr. Dennis del Pilar, Kirk Buduan, and Angelica Paclipan.
Majority of the BOT were re-elected, including Tolentino, Caingcoy, Carmona, Dimaculangan, Gorre, Nague, Calderon, and del Pilar.
The new officers and trustees will take their oath on April 2.
PCCBI is the accredited integrated professional organization of customs brokers in the country with chapters in Bataan, Batangas, Bicol, Bohol, CARAGA, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Northern Luzon, Northern Mindanao, Southwestern Mindanao, Subic-Clark, Western Visayas-Iloilo, and its first international chapter in Singapore.
Formerly named Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc., the organization officially changed its name last year. – Roumina Pablo
