LBC Express, Inc. will stop accepting cargo shipments (parcels, boxes, etc.) at its branches for forwarding to all destinations from July 12 to 16, 2020.

In an advisory, LBC said that in the process of putting in place safety and logistics measures capacities were exceeded, creating some backlog.

“To bring us up to speed, we will temporarily pause cargo acceptance at certain areas…,” it explained.

Affected areas are:

• National Capital Region (NCR), North Luzon, South Luzon: all domestic courier and cargo

• Visayas and Mindanao: domestic courier and cargo to NCR, North Luzon and South Luzon

Normal operations will resume on July 17.

LBC’s money remittance and bill payment services will remain available across all 1,500 branches nationwide and through its online platform, the company said.

The company said it has been reinforcing efforts to keep employees and customers safe during the new normal and has built up capacities with the opening of three new warehouses to ensure social distancing amongst its people.

It also implemented frequent rapid testing of its people, equipped facilities with protective shields, disinfection booths, and launched online touch-points to provide contactless options.

“We highly prioritize the service levels we provide our customers as well as the health and safety not only of our customers but most importantly our employees,” LBC said.
