The certification recognizes LBC’s adherence to high-level security protocols in its warehousing operations
LBC Express recently received the TAPA Facility Security Requirements (FSR) 2023 Level C certification.
The accreditation, awarded by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), recognizes LBC’s adherence to high-level security protocols within its warehousing operations. By meeting these international standards, the company said it solidifies its defenses against cargo theft and supply chain interruptions at a time when global logistics face increasing security pressures.
The TAPA FSR framework is widely regarded as the gold standard for logistics facilities handling high-value or theft-sensitive goods. LBC’s Level C certification focuses on Secure Warehousing—encompassing physical security controls, risk mitigation, and disciplined loss prevention—though it excludes IT and cybersecurity domains.
Securing this milestone requires a rigorous audit of a facility’s ability to safeguard shipments. For LBC, the move aligns its domestic infrastructure with the same security benchmarks used by leading multinational logistics providers.
Rene Fuentes, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of LBC Express, emphasized that the certification is a reflection of the company’s long-term investment in operational discipline.
“Security is not just a compliance requirement for us; it is a core promise,” Fuentes stated. “Achieving TAPA FSR 2023 Level C validates the work we’ve been consistently investing in—building secure, disciplined, and resilient operations that our customers can rely on.”
The certification is part of a broader “operational excellence” roadmap for the 70-year-old company. As LBC continues to expand its reach across the archipelago and overseas, the company is increasingly leaning on international third-party audits to build customer trust.
By formalizing its facility security through TAPA, LBC Express aims to provide a more “bulletproof” supply chain for both individual senders and corporate partners, ensuring that the movement of goods remains uninterrupted by security lapses.
