LBC Express, Inc. has tapped Converge ICT Solutions Inc. to provide greater fiber broadband connectivity to its branches nationwide.

Since 2015, Converge has been providing fiber broadband to LBC’s head office and main hangar, currently supporting nearly 40% of the logistics company’s 1,500+ branches nationwide.

The new agreement will address LBC’s growing demand for fast, secure and reliable connectivity as it expands transport, logistics and remittance services, LBC and Converge said in a joint statement.

LBC will capitalize on Converge’s expanding pure fiber footprint and robust network infrastructure to extend its reach to previously inaccessible regions.

“Converge has been a long-time partner of LBC and has helped us expand our network with reliable, full-fiber connectivity. I am happy to have witnessed the growth and aggressive expansion of Converge across the Philippines while maintaining their excellent customer support,” said LBC Express senior vice president and chief information officer, Alexander Francis Deato. “I am looking forward to their further development so that we can both continue to provide quality service to the many Filipinos both in the urban and remote areas of the Philippines,” he added.

“Converge and LBC’s alliance has endured for years because we share the same goal of serving all Filipinos all over the world, particularly our unserved and underserved kababayans. We are honored to be the connectivity of choice of a transport and logistics institution like LBC,” Converge senior EVP and chief operations officer Jesus Romero said.

The contract renewal and signing event took place at LBC Express Inc.’s head office in Pasay City. Apart from Deato and Romero, present at the event were LBC Express executive vice president & chief operations officer Oliver Valentin, and Converge vice president and Head of Wholesale & Enterprise Sales Department Patrick Paul Gatchalian.
