  • PopBox, located across all LRT-1 stations, will provide commuters access to contactless delivery using LRT-1 stations as pick-up points of their online purchases
  • Currently, two e-commerce platforms from the Airspeed group are partnered with the smart locker system

LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corp (LRMC) and Airspeed Group of Companies have launched PopBox, the Philippines’ first smart locker system in a public transport.

The smart locker system in all LRT-1 stations allows commuters access to contactless delivery service using LRT-1 stations as pick-up points for their packages purchased via partner e-commerce platforms, or for delivery orders through partner couriers, LRMC said in a statement.

Initial e-commerce partners include gifting platform speedgifts.ph and the newest Filipino online platform KHPH (Kahanga-hanga Pilipinas at kh-ph.com), both of which are part of the Airspeed Group.

More partners are expected to sign up and include LRT-1 PopBox lockers as a collection point in the coming months, said LRMC.
