Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. (MSLI) recently launched the newest addition to its fleet, the MV Santa Juliana.

The MV Santa Juliana is a brand-new roll-on/roll-off passenger vessel with a length overall of 72 meters and a breadth of 15 meters and features the latest in maritime engineering and passenger amenities.

Built at the Fujian Xinshenghai Shipbuilding Co. Ltd shipyard in China, the vessel boasts a capacity of 712 passengers and can accommodate up to 18 trucks.

MSLI in a statement said the new vessel is “designed to further strengthen the company’s commitment to safe, efficient, and modern inter-island transport in the Philippines” and reinforces the shipping line’s “versatility for both passenger and cargo service.”

Construction of the MV Santa Juliana began in December 2024. It is the 83rd vessel in MSLI’s growing fleet.

MSLI expressed optimism that the MV Santa Juliana will contribute significantly to improving regional connectivity and providing enhanced service reliability to its passengers and commercial partners.

The MV Santa Juliana is expected to begin commercial operations in the coming months following sea trials and final inspections.
