• 28 areas will be placed under Alert Level 3 from Jan 14 to 31

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases placed 28 more areas under Alert Level 3 from January 14 to 31 due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.

The following are the areas under the heightened alert level:

Luzon

  • Benguet
  • Kalinga
  • Abra
  • La Union
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Pangasinan
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Isabela
  • Quirino
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Tarlac
  • Quezon Province
  • Occidental Mindoro
  • Oriental Mindoro
  • Camarines Sur
  • Albay

Visayas

  • Bacolod City
  • Aklan
  • Capiz
  • Antique
  • Cebu City
  • Mandaue City
  • Tacloban City

Mindanao

  • Cagayan de Oro City
  • Davao City
  • Butuan City
  • Agusan del Sur
  • Cotabato City

Under Alert Level 3, intrazonal and interzonal movement will be allowed and reasonable restrictions may be imposed by the local government units, which should not be stricter as those prescribed under higher alert levels.

Those below 18 years of age and those belonging to the vulnerable population will be allowed access to obtain essential goods and services, or for work in permitted industries and offices in accordance with existing labor laws, rules, and regulations.
