Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will implement a series of terminal reassignments beginning March 29, 2026 as part of efforts to optimize terminal capacity and improve passenger flow, its private operator said.
In an advisory issued by operator New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), five foreign carriers will transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 effective March 29. These are:
- Air China (CA)
- China Eastern (MU)
- Vietnam Airlines (VN)
- Royal Brunei (BI)
- Shenzhen Airlines (ZH)
On the same date, Philippines AirAsia’s international flights and AirAsia Berhad (AK) will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1.

Passengers are advised to verify their terminal assignments with their respective airlines before travel to avoid disruptions.
The terminal adjustments come as NAIA recorded its highest monthly passenger volume on record in January 2026.
NNIC reported that the airport handled 4.96 million passengers in January, surpassing the 4.86 million logged in December 2025 and marking the busiest month in NAIA’s history.
The strong turnout followed the holiday travel surge from Dec. 20 to Jan. 4, during which nearly 2.6 million passengers passed through the airport’s terminals. Travel peaked on January 4, with 180,089 passengers recorded, the highest single-day volume so far.
