South Korea-based carrier Namsung Shipping Co., Ltd. will start a new direct weekly service from Manila port to Busan on October 1, 2016.

The CTX service will be the fastest direct service from Manila to the South Korean port with just four days of sailing time, according to Namsung Philippine agent Southern Star Agencia Maritima Inc.

The route starts from Laem Chabang in Thailand, sails to Manila, then Busan and Incheon in South Korea, Xingang in China, and Kwangyang and Pyeotaek, both in South Korea.

The vessel is expected to arrive in Manila on October 1 and depart for Busan on October 5.

The CTX service also provides transshipments to 38 Japanese ports.

Namsung likewise offers a direct weekly service from Manila to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam under the KPS service.
