  • The National Capital Region and several provinces are under general community quarantine (GCQ) “with heightened restrictions” from August 1 to August 15
  • More provinces are placed under GCQ for the whole month
  • Iloilo City, Iloilo Province, Cagayan de Oro City, and Gingoog City will remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), while Ilocos Norte, Bataan, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City are under modified ECQ
  • All other areas in the country will be under the less strict modified GCQ until August 31

The National Capital Region (NCR) as well as several provinces will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) “with heightened restrictions” from August 1 to August 15 to prevent the spread of other variants of COVID-19.

Also under GCQ with heightened restrictions for the period are:

  • Ilocos Sur
  • Cavite
  • Laguna
  • Rizal
  • Bulacan
  • Lucena City
  • Naga City
  • Antique
  • Aklan
  • Bacolod City
  • Capiz
  • Negros Oriental
  • Davao City
  • Davao de Oro
  • Davao Del Norte
  • Davao Occidental
  • Cagayan
  • Zamboanga del Sur
  • Misamis Oriental
  • Butuan City

For August 1 to August 31, the following provinces are placed under normal GCQ:

  • Baguio City
  • Apayao
  • City of Santiago, Isabela
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Quirino
  • Quezon
  • Batangas
  • Puerto Princesa
  • Guimaras
  • Negros Occidental
  • Zamboanga Sibugay
  • City of Zamboanga
  • Zamboanga del Norte
  • Davao Oriental
  • Davao del Sur
  • General Santos City
  • Sultan Kudarat
  • Sarangani
  • North Cotabato
  • South Cotabato
  • Agusan del Norte
  • Surigao del Norte
  • Agusan del Sur
  • Dinagat Islands
  • Surigao del Sur
  • Cotabato City

Remaining under the strictest enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from August 1 to 7 are:

  • Iloilo City
  • Iloilo Province
  • Cagayan de Oro City
  • Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental

Placed under modified ECQ from August 1 to 15 are:

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Bataan
  • Lapu-Lapu City
  • Mandaue City

All other areas will remain under the less strict modified GCQ from August 1 to 31.

In areas under ECQ, MECQ, GCQ, and MGCQ, logistics service providers are allowed to operate at 100% capacity, while cargo/delivery vehicles should still be allowed unhampered movement.

Within and across areas placed under any form of community quarantine, movement of all types of cargoes via land, air, and sea should remain unhampered. Likewise, workers in the logistics sector, such as those in cargo, trucking, courier delivery and port operations, should be allowed to transit within and across these areas, according to the omnibus guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

The road, rail, maritime, and aviation sectors of public transportation are allowed to operate at the capacity set by the Department of Transportation.
