Philippine exporters may now be more visible with global buyers through two new digital platforms.
The Origin Management System (OMS) and the PHX Source, both part of the digital transformation efforts of the government, will be launched during the National Export Congress (NEC) at EDSA Shangri-la Hotel on December 4, 2025.
The OMS is a web-based system that digitalizes and streamlines the application and issuance of the Product Evaluation Report (PER) required to avail of preferential tariffs under the country’s free trade agreements and Generalized System of Preferences. Developed under partnership between the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), the OMS was developed to improve processes and address the constraints in the manual application of PER.
In parallel, the DTI, in collaboration with QSweep Tech Services, will officially launch PHX Source—an online export directory designed to increase the visibility and global reach of Philippine exporters.
“Our goal is to provide exporters with the right tools and digital platforms to help them thrive in the global marketplace. The OMS and PHX Source are part of our commitment to trade facilitation and strengthen our exporters’ capacity to compete, connect, and collaborate across borders,” DTI- Export Marketing Bureau Director Bianca Pearl Sykimte said. The NEC is part of the National Exporters’ Week running from December 1-4, 2025.
With the theme “Making Waves: Exporters Driving the Nation Forward”, this year’s event shines a light on exporters as the breakers, crests, and ripples that sustain the momentum of the achievements under the Philippine Export Development Plan 2023–2028. Two venues will host the event. For December 1, 2025, NEW will be at the Holiday Inn, Makati City; and from December 2-4 at the EDSA Shangri-La, Manila. – partly sourced from PHILEXPORT News and Features, November 7, 2025
