Newbie Station Logistic Inc. has expanded its warehouse footprint in Laguna by leasing  space at AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp.’s (ALLHC) Calamba facility.

A Chinese logistics company serving top e-commerce industries, Newbie Station is now an anchor lessee at ALLHC’s ALogis Calamba, occupying 33,400 square meters of gross leasable space.

In addition, the company extended its presence in Biñan, Laguna, leasing an additional 11,600 sqm at the ALogis Biñan 4 facility in Laguna Technopark, ALLHC said in a statement.

The expansion is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 1,300 workers across the two sites.

ALLHC said turnover of the additional Biñan space occurred in May 2023 while the full turnover of the Calamba site took place in September.

The development builds upon Newbie Station’s initial warehouse lease in the Philippines signed two years ago. In 2021, it inked a deal with ALLHC for its first business site in the country, leasing 13,000 sqm of warehouse space at the ALogis Biñan 4.

“ALLHC shares our unwavering commitment to excellence, efficiency, and growth. Their dedication to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, strategically located facilities, and a team that is passionately invested in our success made them the perfect choice for us. ALLHC provides us with the robust foundation we need to expand our footprint and continue to redefine international cross-border fulfilment,” Newbie Station’s marketing director Jingwu Yan said.

Patrick Avila, COO of ALLHC, noted the expansion not only strengthens Newbie Station’s presence but also generates job opportunities for local residents.

ALLHC currently manages nine properties across five key locations in Luzon, including Biñan, Naic, Calamba, Porac, and Santo Tomas. Expansion is ongoing at ALogis Naic 2, within Cavite Technopark, for an additional 11,000 square meters of leasable warehouse space.

This year, ALLHC has ventured into the build-to-suit facilities space, providing businesses with uniquely designed, tailored facilities to meet their specific needs.
