Chronicles Ports, a domestic and international port in Barangay Simlong, Batangas catering to breakbulk and general cargo, was recently inaugurated.
With a 14-meter draft, the port can accommodate vessels up to 10,000 deadweight tons. It has a maximum discharging capability of 5,000 metric tons per day for LCT-type vessels.
The P800-million port is a development of Wong Chu King (WCK) Holdings.
Its anchor lesee is P278.3-million grain terminal of Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative inaugurated by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr in March. The grain terminal integrates a 12,000-metric-ton silo operation into the existing feed mill.
Aside from those in the business of grains, Chronicles Ports president Josef Vincent Cochien earlier said they are looking for locators involved in cement, sand, steel and construction materials and aggregates.
The company’s area of operation covers 914,959 square meters for anchorage off-loading, accepting commodities from vessels that arrive within the laydays commence and cancelling date, including dry goods.
