Pacific Star Group and Peak Freight Solutions recently formed a joint venture company, Star Concord Manila, to provide freight forwarding and cargo consolidation services to and from the Philippines to different ports worldwide.

Pacific Star Group was founded in Taiwan by Dr. Lin Kuang in 1977 and is considered the largest freight forwarding company in Taiwan today. It was the first freight forwarder/non-vessel operating common carrier to secure the Authorized Economic Operator status in Taiwan. Services include shipping agency, sea and air freight forwarding, ship brokerage, container leasing, and a weekly shipping and trade publication.

Pacific Star has more than 1,600 employees worldwide. Under the group are 17 branches in mainland China as well as Pan Pacific Co. Ltd USA (Los Angeles, Chicago, New York), Pacific Star Express/Pacific Concord Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung), Longrow Shipping (Hongkong) Star Concord Co. LTD. Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Star Concord PTE. LTD. (Singapore), Star Concord Logistics SDN. BHD. Malaysia (Port Klang, Pasir Gudang, Penang), Star Concord Australia PTY. LTD. (Melbourne), Star Concord (Vietnam), Star Concord (Thailand) and now, Star Concord Philippines (Manila, and soon Cebu and Davao).

The group moved 450,000 containers in 2015, making it a major player in international freight forwarding globally.

Peak Freight Solutions, on the other hand, was founded in 2009 by Tyrone Regaliza and Nancy Villanueva. The team is composed of experienced freight forwarding personnel capable of providing tailor-made total freight services in the most economical, efficient and flexible way.

The company offers direct cargo consolidation services from 18 ports worldwide to Manila.
