Philippine Airlines (PAL) is re-launching widebody operations on its key Manila–Puerto Princesa route with the deployment of the Airbus A330-300.

Starting December 17, PAL will operate its Airbus A330 on this route three times weekly – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the airline announced in a press release.

Departures from Manila are scheduled for 5:30AM, arriving in Puerto Princesa at 7:00AM, while return flights will depart Puerto Princesa at 8:10AM and arrive in Manila at 10:00 AM.

The PAL A330-300 offers a total of 363 seats, configured to cater to a range of traveler needs – 18 seats in business class, 33 seats in comfort class, and 312 seats in economy class.

“Utilizing our widebody fleet on flights to Puerto Princesa will enhance operational efficiency, improve overall customer satisfaction, and also provide Palawan residents more opportunities to explore the Philippines and the rest of the world,” PAL senior vice president for operations group Roland Narciso said.

“We have been working closely with airport authorities for a smooth transition to widebody operations in Puerto Princesa,” Narciso added.

PAL said passengers originating from select international destinations can connect to Puerto Princesa via the carrier’s Manila hub, maximizing convenience and travel flexibility.
