Philippine Airlines (PAL) has secured sufficient jet fuel supply to support scheduled operations, including long-haul flights, for the foreseeable future.
The flag carrier in a statement said it recognizes that global supply conditions remain dynamic and is closely monitoring global and regional developments affecting jet fuel supply and pricing.
“As part of prudent planning, PAL continues to work closely with fuel suppliers, industry partners, and government stakeholders to ensure stable and efficient operations over the longer term,” PAL added.
Relatedly, the airline also temporarily suspended its flights between Manila and Riyadh until March 31, 2026, and between Manila and Doha and Dubai until April 30, 2026.
PAL said the precautionary measure is being taken considering the evolving security situation affecting parts of the Middle East and the resulting operational uncertainties in certain regional airspace corridors and airport operations.
“The safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft remains Philippine Airlines’ highest priority. Given the current environment, PAL has determined that temporarily suspending these services is the most prudent course of action while conditions remain fluid,” PAL said.
Cargo operations on these routes are also affected. The airline said it is working with logistics partners to explore alternative routing options where possible to support the continued movement of essential goods.
