The Northluzon Aero Industrial Park-Special Economic Zone (NAIP-SEZ), the first industrial in Pangasinan, has been placed under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) collection district of San Fernando in La Union.

Under Customs Administrative Order (CAO) No. 05-2022, signed June 16, a customs office will be established at the Pangasinan industrial park “to meet the needs of the registered enterprises thereat whose operations require supervision by the Bureau of Customs of their respective importations or exportations.”

Under CAO 05-2022, the NAIP-SEZ customs office will be under the administrative supervision and control of the district collector of San Fernando, who will authorize the detail or assignment of personnel to the new customs office.

The 28-hectare NAIP-SEZ located in Binalonan is the first industrial park in Pangasinan that broke ground in September 2020. In July 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation No. 1191 creating and designating parcels of land in Binalonan as a special economic zone to be known as NAIP-SEZ.

The Pangasinan industrial park constitutes parcels of land located in Barangay Linmansangan and Canarvacanan, Binalonan, Pangasinan.

One of the tenants of NAIP-SEZ is Sumitomo Wiring System, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric, which broke ground on a factory in September 2020. Products are expected to be exported to Japan and North America.

Established in 2017, Sumitomo Wiring System is a leading global supplier of wiring harness, related components, as well as several electronic products to the automotive and office equipment industries.
