The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) continues to advance the country’s aviation and aerospace industries through ecozone-led development and investment initiatives, according to PEZA Ecozone Development Department manager Ludwig Daza.
Speaking at the 2025 Philippine Aviation Summit held on October 9 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City, Daza emphasized the agency’s role in shaping the future of the aviation sector.
“PEZA is nurturing a growing ecosystem of locators that are quietly powering the aviation and aerospace value chain of the Philippines,” he said.
He noted that PEZA is opening its doors to more aviation-related industries and promoting aerotropolis parks under its new frontiers program. These zones aim to integrate aviation into the broader industrial landscape and ensure the country remains competitive in the next era of industrialization.

Daza noted that the high-value aerospace and aviation sector, which demands precision, reliability, and world-class standards, has found a growing base in the country’s ecozones.
Currently, PEZA hosts 16 registered aviation and aerospace projects, ranging from multinational corporations to Filipino-owned enterprises.
These projects have generated over P26 billion in investments, more than US$1 billion in exports in 2024, and created employment for over 11,500 skilled Filipino workers.
The two-day aviation summit was organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in partnership with the Asian Business Aviation Association, and co-presented by the Department of Transportation, Department of Tourism, and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. It brought together industry leaders, regulators, and global investors to discuss opportunities and challenges in the aviation sector.
