The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and MYEG Philippines reported a 252-fold growth in digital transactions through the Electronic Payment and Collection System (EPCS) since its 2021 launch.

“This accomplishment is not only a digital milestone, but a clear manifestation of the trust and confidence that our stakeholders place in PEZA,” said director general Tereso Panga after a joint business review on April 15, 2025 at the PEZA Head Office.

For her part, MYEG Philippines CEO Ann Margaret Saldaña noted, “Among all our partnered government agencies, PEZA is the only one that is 100% digital for payment and collection.”

The EPCS enables clients to remit payments through various channels such as ATM accounts, credit cards, mobile wallets, and over-the-counter facilities.

Currently, the EPCS supports over 100,000 payment channels nationwide, including e-wallets, bank transfers, card payments, and over-the-counter options—making transactions faster and more accessible for economic zone locators.

This digital transformation supports PEZA’s goal of promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development especially in the countryside, the agency said.

Looking ahead, PEZA and MYEG reaffirmed their commitment to innovate further—enhancing system capabilities, reducing transaction costs, and continuing the push for full digital transformation across all ecozones, according to Panga.
