The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) registered three new economic zone enterprises on November 14, boosting the agency’s drive to attract investments that foster sustainable energy, advanced manufacturing and IT services in the Philippines.

The newly registered enterprises include Tsuneishi Green Energy Philippines, Inc., an ecozone utilities enterprise that will operate a solar facility at West Cebu Industrial Park in Balamban, Cebu. The facility aims to generate renewable energy for industrial use, supporting PEZA’s push for ecozone sustainability and green economic practices.

“By backing renewable energy projects like Tsuneishi’s solar facility, PEZA is advancing clean energy solutions, reducing carbon footprints, and promoting sustainability, in line with its strategy to foster a green economy and attract eco-friendly investments,” PEZA said in a statement.

Also registered was Wenshan Electronics Philippines Corp., an ecozone export enterprise based in Santo Tomas, Batangas. The company will manufacture high-tech chip power inductors at the Light Industry and Science Park II.

With Tesla’s recent entry into the Philippines, Wenshan’s local production of chip power inductors arrives at a crucial time, positioning the country as a key player in the electric vehicle and tech supply chain. This synergy boosts industry collaboration and attracts further foreign investments, advancing the Philippines’ role in sustainable tech innovation, PEZA said.

Tractebel Red, Inc., meanwhile, is an ecozone IT enterprise providing export knowledge and computer-enabled services. Located in Enterprise Center in Makati, the company reflects the growing interest from British firms in the Philippines as an IT and tech services hub, the agency noted.

PEZA director general Tereso Panga who led the signing of the registrations said the new ecozone enterprises “are set to create jobs, enhance regional economic activity, and contribute to a more sustainable and technology-driven future for the Philippines.”
