PHILIPPINE air cargo volume handled by domestic airfreight forwarders for the first nine months of the year reached 33.664 million kilograms, with LBC Express, Inc. still dominating the market, data from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) showed.

Consolidations contributed 55.1% of the total, posting 18.54 million kg while direct shipments accounted for 15.111 million or 44.9%. Breakbulking reached 13,122 kg or 0.04%. No comparative figures were provided.

LBC topped the list of domestic airfreight forwarders again with a 28.01% market share or 9.430 million kg of airfreight handled in the nine months to September 2013.

Also maintaining their ranks were AP Cargo Logistics Network Corp., in second spot with a 14.91% share or 5.02 million kg, and Airfreight 2100, Inc., in third place with a 9.5% share or 3.198 million kg.

2Go Express, Inc., had kept up its pace after joining the top list late last year to land on fourth place with a 5.88% share or 1.981 million kg of cargoes.

Kim Gold Cargo Logistics Corp. came fifth with 5.28% or 1.779 million kg while JRS Business Corp. placed sixth with 3.5% or 1.18 million kg.

In seventh place and accounting for 3.13% of the market share or 1.054 million kg was Cargo Padala Express Forwarding Service Corp.while Ximex Delivery Express placed eighth with 2.8% or 941,376 kg.

AAI Worldwide Logistics Inc. was in ninth place with 2.71% or 911,050.5 kg and Libcap Super Express Corp. in 10th with 2.7% or 908,907 kg.

In 11th to 20th places were Wide Wide World Express Inc. with 2.42%; Vintel Logistics, Inc., 2.27%; Fastcargo Logistics Corp., 2.11%; Highlight Express Philippines, Inc., 2.04%; American Freight Forwarders, Inc., 1.67%; Explorer Freight Corp., 1.67%; Argo International Forwarders, Inc., 1.39%; Non-pareil International Inc., 1.28%; Transglobal Consolidators, Inc., 1.15%; and ASP Airspeed Philippines, Inc. with 1.03% share.

Rounding up CAB’s top 30 list are Germalin Enterprises, Inc., 0.89%; TNT Express Deliveries Philippines, Inc., 0.76%; CBL Courier Express International, 0.46%; GRM International, Inc., 0.34%; Iris Logistics, Inc. 0.33%; Front Cargo Forwarders, 0.26%; Makatiexpress Cargo, Inc., 0.23%; Redgold Forwarders, Inc., 0.22%; Skyfreight Forwarders, Inc. 0.19%; and Pambato Cargo Forwarders with 0.12% share.––Roumina M.
