Philippine domestic airfreight forwarders lifted 13.7% more cargo in the first half of 2024 to 32.471 million kilograms of chargeable weight from 28.548 million kg year-on-year, according to preliminary data from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).

Of the total, direct shipments accounted for 56.56% or 18.365 million kg, a 28% jump from 14.338 million kg in the first half of 2023.

Consolidations represented 43.41% or 14.095 million kg of the total, a slight 0.6% improvement from the 14.008 million kg last year.

Breakbulking, meanwhile, dropped 94.7% to 10,676 kg from 202,450 kg last year.

Only 95.90% of accredited domestic airfreight forwarders submitted complete data for January to June 2024 compared to 94.07% last year.

AP Cargo Logistics Network Corp. continued to lead CAB’s list of top 30 domestic airfreight forwarders, lifting 9.972 million kg or 30.71% of the total.

It was followed by PH Global Jet Express, which climbed up 10 spots with 3.185 million kg or a share of 9.81%.

In close third was LBC Express, Inc.—which dropped one spot—with 3.125 million kg or a 9.63% share.

Moving six places up to fourth place was Lite Xpress International, Inc. with 2.092 million kg or a share of 6.44%.

2GO Express, Inc., which shipped 1.670 million kg or a share of 5.14%, fell one rank to fifth.

Dropping three ranks to sixth was JRS Business Corp. with 1.492 million kg or a 4.6% share, followed by ASP Airspeed Philippines, Inc., which fell two places to seventh with 1.249 million kg or a 3.85% share.

Improving six ranks to eight place was Four Aces Resources Corp. with 1.038 million kg or a 3.2% share while Trans-Global Consolidators Inc.—which was not on the top 30 list in the same period last year—ranked ninth with 919,504.50 kg or a 2.83% share.

Nonpareil International Freight Cargo Services, Inc. declined three places to 10th in the list of PH domestic airfreight forwarders, handling 847,989 kg or a share of 2.61%.

From 11th to 20th places were:

  • Airfreight 2100, Inc. (799,324.60 kg)
  • Wide Wide World Express Corp. (748,728.82 kg)
  • Kim Gold Cargo Logistics, Inc. (699,443 kg)
  • Cargo Padala Express Forwarding Services Corp. (530,340.98 kg)
  • Worklink Services, Inc. (430,429.50 kg)
  • Worldwide Elite Freight Forwarding Consolidation Services, Inc. (336,191.71 kg)
  • American Freight Forwarders, Inc. (331,248 kg)
  • Argo International Forwarders Inc. (327,030 kg)
  • V-Freight Cargo Services, Inc (292,684.52 kg)
  • Libcap Super Express Corp. (285,586.93 kg)

Completing the list of PH domestic airfreight forwarders from 21st to 30th place were:
