ID-10060169The Philippine Inter-island Shipping Association (PISA) has elected its new set of officers and board members for 2015 to 2017.

Roberto Umali, president of Lorenzo Shipping Corp, is PISA’s new chairman and president, replacing Carlo Leonio.

Sulficio Tagud, Jr., chief executive officer and president of 2Go Group, Inc., was elected vice chairman for liners.

Gerardo Santos, chairman of the Philippine Petroleum Sea Transport Association, is vice president for tankers, Gervacio Murillo of the Lighterage Association of the Philippines is vice president for lighterage, and Christopher Pastrana, president of the Philippine RORO Operators Association, is vice president for roll-on/roll-off.

Board members for the two-year term include Quirimon Tan, president of Solid Shipping Lines, as treasurer; Atty. Pedro Aguilar as corporate secretary and legal counsel; and Jordan Go of Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp and Capt. Leonel Francisco of MIS Maritime Corp. as directors.

PISA’s current membership includes 32 maritime-related companies.
