The Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, Inc (PMTLAI) elected its officers for 2022-2024 with Fernando Juan Perez as president.

A former undersecretary at the Department of Transportation, Perez of CEL Logistics, Inc. took the place of Marilyn Alberto, now honorary chair of the association. Alberto, from Kintetsu World Express (Phils.), Inc., was PMTLAI’s first president.

The organization was established in 2017, following a merger of the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association and Aircargo Forwarders of the Philippines, Inc.

Elected vice presidents were Daisy Barquin (Aspac International, Inc.) for air; Denirene Misty Casipit (Transmodal International, Inc.) for sea; and Juan Carlos Aquias (Vanguard Logistics Services Phils., Inc.) for land.

Elma Simbahan of FM Global Logistics (Phil.), Inc. is the new corporate secretary; Christopolus Coching of Asialink Cargo Phils., Inc. is treasurer; Paul Alvin Yap of APL Logistics Phil., Inc. auditor; and John Francis Villanueva of Freight Options Inc., public relations officer.

Committees are chaired by:

  • Theodore Anton Abe Estrada of All Transport Network Inc. (ways and means)
  • Nestor Salvania of N.E.S. Cargo Express International Corp., (social responsibility)
  • Digzylou Mae Umali of Pacific Concord Container Lines, Inc. (membership)
  • Maria Antoinette Jara of Eagle Express Lines, Inc. (sports and fellowship)
  • Aldric Benjamin De Leon of Pac-Atlantic Lines (Phils.), Inc. (information technology)
  • Ernie Soriano of F2 Global Logistics, Inc. (ethics and standards)

Elaine Lois Nolasco of Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc. remains as the Cebu chapter president.

The new members of the PMTLAI Board were elected on April 29.
