In a speech during the event, Jamandre from Swen Logistics & Shipping Agency, Inc. said this year the group “continued to strengthen our role in the maritime industry by fostering collaboration, enhancing professional standards, and ensuring that the voice of ship agents is heard in key policy discussions.”
As president, he told members they can expect his “unwavering support and commitment to ensuring that the PSAA remains responsive to the needs of our members” and will continue to champion initiatives that improve industry practices, provide opportunities for capacity building, and promote unity across all stakeholders.
Looking ahead, Jamandre said PSAA will further strengthen its partnership with government agencies, port authorities, and international organizations; expand training programs; enhance knowledge-sharing platforms, and develop more initiatives that prepare members for the evolving challenges of the global maritime landscape.
Founded 51 years ago on July 16, 1974, PSAA currently represents a membership of more than 40 ship agents.
