Royal Cargo’s South Hub facility in Calamba, Laguna recently secured two licenses to operate (LTO) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), expanding the facility’s capabilities in pharmaceutical logistics.
On January 16, 2025, Royal Cargo South Hub received its FDA LTO as a drug manufacturer, an accreditation that enables the facility to provide value-added services such as repacking and labelling pharmaceutical products, and assisting pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies in meeting regulatory and market-specific packaging and label requirements.
Last October 9, 2024, the facility also secured its LTO as a medical devices manufacturer, allowing Royal Cargo to offer specialized services, including repacking and packaging medical equipment and devices.
“This accreditation showcases the South Hub’s capabilities to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency in handling critical healthcare products,” Royal Cargo said in a statement.
The South Hub is equipped with state-of-the-art systems and advanced technology, offering a total storage capacity of 14,516 pallet positions. It includes a dry warehouse designed to store non-perishable goods, and a pharma warehouse where temperature-controlled storage facilities are available for pharmaceutical products.
With the latest FDA approvals, Royal Cargo said its South Hub is well-positioned to drive growth in the healthcare logistics sector as it offers a comprehensive suite of specialized services and infrastructure tailored explicitly to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers’ needs, “making it ready to support the industry’s evolving demands.”
The FDA approvals also come as Royal Cargo gears to establish an economic zone named “Medical and Logistics Solutions Ecozone” as it continues to enhance its value to healthcare supply chain businesses.
