Royal Cargo has renewed its Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification for the warehousing and distribution of pharmaceutical products at its South Hub in Calamba, Laguna.
The accreditation from DQS Certification Philippines, Inc. confirms Royal Cargo’s continued compliance with GDP of medicinal products for human use (2013/C 343/01) and with the World Health Organization Annex 5 – Good Distribution Practices for Pharmaceutical Products.
The audit was conducted on August 18, 2025, with certification valid through November 22, 2028, Royal Cargo said in a statement.
The scope of certification encompasses pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution activities, including controlled storage conditions, inventory oversight, documented handling procedures, and coordinated transportation management.
The GDP are international standards that ensure the quality of pharmaceuticals throughout the distribution chain.
Royal Cargo noted that the re-certification ensures consistency in pharma and healthcare logistics, noting that continuity is “required and critical” for companies operating in regulated healthcare environments.
Moreover, it signifies that the previously established procedures remain effective, storage conditions remain controlled, documentation remains traceable, and handling procedures remain aligned with international standards.
Royal Cargo said the milestone also reflects its steady development of its pharma and healthcare logistics capabilities in the Philippines.
The South Hub facility also holds Food and Drug Administration licenses as a drug manufacturer and a medical devices manufacturer, allowing the company to provide repacking, labeling, and compliant packaging services for regulated pharmaceutical and medical products.

Royal Cargo noted this facility-level licensing and GDP-certified distribution form a structured compliance framework that supports principals and healthcare institutions with regulated supply chain requirements.
As pharmaceutical supply chains across the Philippines and Southeast Asia continue to tighten regulatory requirements, Royal Cargo said sustaining its GDP certification signals its continued investment in pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution, disciplined processes, quality management, and regulatory alignment to support the safe movement of critical healthcare products.
