Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) is seeking proponents that will lease and develop a 12-hectare marshalling yard at the Port District Area of Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SFZ).

The marshalling yard, located on Maritan and Causeway Roads, is classified as an industrial and commercial zone. A large portion of the space (about 70%) is ideal for multi-story warehouse buildings specifically for seaport-related activities, while the rest is suitable for commercial establishments for business and leisure.

In a notice dated February 24, SBMA senior deputy administrator for business & investment Renato Lee III said interested proponents may attend an online orientation seminar on the project on March 30 and submit their attendance confirmation to osda.big@sbma.com to get a link to the orientation.

Under the jurisdiction of SBMA, SFZ has a total area of 67,000 hectares of industrial, commercial, and protected territory, including a port which can handle 600,000 twenty-foot equivalent units a year and an airport.

SBMA’s infrastructure development program includes widening of Freeport roads and improvement of airport, seaport, and other logistics facilities in Subic.
