Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) toll rates will increase effective November 19, 2024.

This is the second tranche of toll rate adjustments approved by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB). The adjustments, due in 2021 and 2023, were deferred due to mitigate inflationary pressures and will now be collected in three tranches over three years. The 1st tranche took effect on October 17, 2023.

Motorists with Class 1 vehicles such as cars and sports utility vehicles will see an increase in SCTEX toll rate of P0.64 per kilometer, while Class 2 vehicles like buses and small trucks will incur an additional P1.29 per kilometer. Large trucks and trailers classified as Class 3 will face a P1.93 per kilometer hike.

For instance, motorists traveling between Mabalacat City (Mabiga Interchange) and Tarlac will pay an additional P25, P50, and P75 for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles, respectively.

Trips between Mabalacat City and Tipo in Hermosa, Bataan (near Subic Freeport), will incur an additional charge of P41 for Class 1, P81 for Class 2, and P121 for Class 3 vehicles.

From 2020 to 2023, the operator completed numerous enhancements to improve safety and convenience for SCTEX users.

These projects include roadway lighting upgrades and signages, maintenance and toll plaza improvement works, pavement replacement and crack sealing, guardrail and fence repairs, RFID system enhancements, toll systems upgrades, the Dinalupihan road raising project, the Porac Gumain, San Matias and Pasig Potrero bridges repairs and the construction of rainwater collection systems in Floridablanca and Dinalupihan rest bays.
