The Bureau of Customs (BOC) is giving stakeholders with expiring accreditation 30 days from the lifting of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) to process renewal of their accreditation.

BOC assistant commissioner and spokesperson Atty. Vincent Philip Maronilla, in an online update on May 31, said stakeholders whose accreditation with BOC is expiring during the period of MECQ (until May 31) can process accreditation renewal for 30 days starting in June.

“They are expected to use that period of extension to renew all their accreditations,” Maronilla told PortCalls.

Covered stakeholders include importers, customs brokers, Super Green Lane importers, customs bonded warehouses, customs facilities and warehouses, or any other third party transacting and accredited with BOC.

This also applies to stakeholders in areas already under general community quarantine since BOC’s Accounts Management Office, which handles the accreditation, is in Metro Manila which is still under ECQ.
