The Bureau of Customs-Port of Subic recently formally received a new mobile container X-ray machine.
The acquisition of the advanced equipment was spearheaded by the X-ray Inspection Project (XIP) in order to improve the BOC’s scanning capabilities, the bureau said in a statement.
The Nuctech X-ray Machine Model MT1213LT meets a wide range of inspection requirements across various sites as it offers flexible scanning heights, exceptional penetration power, and advanced image processing tools, the agency added.
“The addition of this mobile X-ray machine reinforces our efforts to secure our borders effectively while facilitating seamless trade operations,” Subic district collector Atty. Ricardo Morales ll said.
Morales personally inspected the new unit during its delivery. He was joined by the Port’s XIP team led by Edsel Cortez, along with Nuctech Company technician Li Huizhong.
The joint inspection underscores the BOC’s commitment to operational excellence, guaranteeing the readiness of critical equipment.
