ID-100172586The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will impose a temporary modified truck ban along Roxas Boulevard and Osmena Highway on May 22, in preparation for the three-day World Economic Forum on East Asia which starts on that day.

The one-day modified truck ban hours along the two major roads are from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m, MMDA chief Francis Tolentino said.

Regular truck ban hours–6 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 10 pm–will resume on May 23.

“We would only like to assure the efficient mobility of the WEF delegates in our major thoroughfares, especially in Makati and Pasay areas where the forum’s major events will take place,” Tolentino said.

The WEF will be staged in the cities of Pasay and Makati.
