ID-100169310The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will observe a nationwide “no apprehension policy” for trucks for hire with green plates from June 28 to July 29, 2014 to give operators time to apply for their franchise and provisional authority to operate.

The advisory signed by LTFRB chairman Atty Winston Ginez on June 27, also said that the Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines will pick up application and deliver provisional authority for free to fast track the application process.

For free pickup of application and check payment, call the LTFRB hotline at 459-2129.

Application for franchise to operate trucks for hire may be downloaded at www.ltfrb.gov.ph

The advisory said the LTFRB head office will continue to accept applications personally filed by individual operators only. All regional offices will continue to accept applications filed by operators or by their representatives.

Meanwhile, the satellite LTFRB office in Parañaque operated in coordination with the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association of the Philippines and the Aircargo Forwarders of the Philippines, Inc has been closed following the moratorium on apprehensions.
