U-Freight Phils., Inc. and U-Ocean, Inc. bagged the contract to deliver Commission on Elections equipment and paraphernalia to and from foreign service posts for the 2022 national and local elections.
Rosalyn Rosales, president of U-Freight Phils and U-Ocean, signed the service contract on November 18, 2021. The notice to proceed was issued on November 25, 2021.
The U-Group considers bagging the contract a historic event since this is the first time it ever participated in a government bidding. Participation in an electoral exercise has given the U-Group the opportunity to be part of and support the transition to a new administration, the Group said in a statement.
“U-Group’s commitment to its corporate values and social responsibility brings forth our desire to be part and parcel of this evolving process of establishing good governance and people’s participation,” said Rosales.
The U-Group will harness its stable global organizational strength and capability to ensure prompt delivery of election-related equipment and peripherals.
