Marilyn Alberto (PMTLAI) is still corporate secretary while Carlos Yturzaeta (Philippine Insurers & Reinsurers Association of the Philippines) and Leopoldo Dela Cruz (MSGA Management Consultancy) are the new treasurer and auditor, respectively.

Trustees include Ruperto Bayocot (Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines), Alexander Ong (ACOP), Ryan Lucero (ACOP), and Erich Lingad (PMTLAI). All the officers are also members of the BOT.

The officers and BOT for the new term recently took their oath in a ceremony led by industry partners International Container Terminal Services, Inc. executive director-Philippine subregion Philip Marsham and commercial director-Philippines cluster Mikkel Puyat.

UPC said the new officers commit to carry forward the organization’s ongoing initiatives and to strengthen internal collaboration towards the successful implementation of the organization’s advocacy campaign, Abante Logistics. Launched in 2024, Abante Logistics is UPC’s policy and programs campaign with the aim of institutionalizing and strengthening engagement between the private sector and concerned government agencies in order to resolve industry issues and bottlenecks.

It is part of UPC’s vision to be the prime mover for growth in the logistics industry, in support of a competitive and sustainable supply chain.

UPC is a nonstock corporation organized to conduct activities that promote and advance the interests of all organizations involved in the use of the country’s sea and air ports through proper coordination with appropriate government agencies.

The group also aims to represent member organizations within the industry and before government agencies, both in the Philippines and overseas.

It is composed of industry associations representing the transport and logistics industry, including warehouse operators, forwarders, customs professionals, exporters, importers, and manufacturers.
