UPC marks 5th golf tournament with strong industry presence

The United Portusers Confederation of the Philippines, Inc. (UPC) marked its fifth UPC Open Golf Tournament on January 14, 2026, drawing strong participation from industry leaders and stakeholders at the Canlubang Golf & Country Club in Calamba, Laguna.

The annual tournament brought together executives and professionals from the port, shipping, and logistics sectors, underscoring UPC’s continuing role as a platform for industry networking and engagement beyond policy and advocacy work.

UPC acknowledged the support of its sponsors and partners, noting that their participation contributed to the successful staging of the event.

Winners were recognized across multiple divisions and special award categories. Special awards went to Casey Faylona for Nearest to the Pin, Jaja Tajonera for Most Accurate Drive, Job Adriano and Venice Ngo for Longest Drive, and Leo Cabansag for Most Exercised.

In the Ladies Division, Venice Ngo emerged as champion, with Myrna Enriquez finishing as runner-up.

In the Men’s Division, Class C honors went to champion Rolly Tiongco, first runner-up Anton Estrada, and second runner-up Francis Lopez. Class B winners were led by champion Andrew Lee, followed by Harald Pahl and Rey Nicolas.

In Class A, JB Delos Santos took the championship, with Banjo Maddela as first runner-up and Christian Adrineda as second runner-up.

Overall titles were claimed by Jeff Nava as Lowest Net Champion and Jay Eusebio as Lowest Gross Champion.

UPC said the tournament has become a regular fixture in its calendar, reinforcing industry camaraderie and engagement, and expressed optimism for continued participation in future editions.
