port_in_navi_mumbaiTaiwanese container carrier Wan Hai Lines will expand further its Southeast Asia network by joining the Thailand-Belawan Service come January.

The Thailand-Belawan Service (also known as TBS) will commence on January 7, 2017 to provide a direct service from Thailand to Belawan, Indonesia.

The service will be jointly operated with “K” Line by using two vessels with effective capacity of 1,400 twenty-foot equivalent units. Wan Hai and “K” Line will deploy one vessel each.

TBS service will be a 14-day fixed round-trip schedule with a port rotation of Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Singapore, Port Klang North Port, Belawan, Singapore, Laem Chabang, and back to Bangkok.

“Wan Hai Lines is confident that the new service will provide customers with better frequency and service coverage in southeast Asia sections,” said a company statement.
