AC Logistics Holdings Corp. has started integrating Glacier Megafridge Inc. (GMI) into its service network and supply chain solutions following the agreement signing in January for an up to 84% share in the cold chain and storage specialist.

Town hall meetings were held across all Glacier Megafridge sites nationwide as part of the aggregation process, AC Logistics said in a LinkedIn post.

“Bringing together employees from all Glacier locations, the town hall served as an opportunity to introduce AC Logistics’ vision and plans for integration, while celebrating the start of a new chapter and the opportunities ahead in cold chain logistics,” said the Ayala Group’s logistics and supply chain arm.

The GMI acquisition fortifies AC Logistics’ services through wider capability for handling temperature-sensitive products such as agriculture goods.

The agreement builds on the existing partnership between AC Logistics and GMI through GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corp., a joint venture that operates a cold storage facility in Cagayan de Oro and the recently-opened Davao facility.
