The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) announced on February 1, 2026 that trucks transporting agricultural products will be exempt from the toll rate increase at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) for nearly six months, covering the period from December 9, 2025 until June 1, 2026.
The toll relief measure is intended to support farmers, traders, and consumers by helping ensure the continued and stable movement of food products across major expressways.
“This measure helps support farmers, traders, and consumers. Together, we help ensure stable food transport for every Filipino,” the agency said.

NLEX Corp., a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., said in an earlier press release that it will continue implementing the government’s toll rebate program for vehicles transporting agricultural goods that are duly accredited by the Department of Agriculture (DA).
NLEX Corp. said the program aims to help minimize the impact of toll rate adjustments on inflation and support food price stability by lowering logistics costs in the agricultural supply chain.
The toll rebate program applies to qualified agricultural trucks traversing expressways operated by Metro Pacific Tollways, subject to compliance with accreditation and operational requirements set by the DA and toll operators.
Government regulators have said the toll relief forms part of broader efforts to cushion the impact of rising transport and logistics costs on food prices and to ensure uninterrupted movement of essential goods nationwide.
